A few birds from last week

Godwits, ruffs and a spotted redshank

Lots of hares and plenty of young that can't decide ......road, verge, field - dashing and jinking !

Once a rare bird, now well over 100 at Alkborough Flats

We saw this cuckoo many times on our evening stroll, but it was always going away from us

Lots of crossbills in the local forest, always mobile

Common Tern - a couple at Toft this week

                        Common Sandpiper

Green Sandpipers seem to be everywhere we went this week

And a beautiful buzzard keeping his eye on things !

Silver-washed Fritillary

Never seen so many as we have this year in our local woodlands, we counted at least 20 in one visit. Quite a spectacle and a beautiful butterfly.
