This years garden tulips

 

Our tulips have been absolutely fantastic this year, the colours are spectacular and this year we grew some very unusual ones. A visit to the garden centre, day after Boxing Day, when all bulbs are £1. We got some real good bargains with bags of bulbs, well over £10, for just £1. I went back twice as just couldn't let these bargains go !

Fish and Chips

 

It was Good Friday and I was brought up to eat fish on this day so off to Gainsborough we went. Johnsons Traditional Fish and Chips, one of the best chippies around. These were absolutely delicious ! Regular haddock with chips between us, enjoyed on the banks of the River Trent. Looking forward to our next visit already.....could eat these forever !

Stunning Cetti's Warbler

They were literally everywhere on our walk around Waters' Edge in Barton, singing their little hearts out.  The views were, as usual, fleeting but a couple of them disobeyed the Cetti rule and actually sat out ! Best views were have ever had ! Hope you like the pics x
