Hen Harrier

Very distant but flipping heck !!

Bittern and a few bits

Not one, but two !

Kestrel

Song Thrush surrounded by lots of food !

Covenham Reservoir

A distant Great Northern Diver straight into the sun and a Goosander that had been flushed by a photographer.  Never mind, the exercise did us good !

and then this happened........

so this person with these two dogs walks round Covenham a couple of times a week. Every time she climbs over and throws toys in for the dogs to fetch. They swam the whole of one side of the reservoir, putting every single bird up. I spoke to the chaps in the club house who say they have told her many times not to do it, but she just ignores them. So I have sent this pic to Anglian Water with my complaint and they are taking it up. There is no hope.

Donna Nook Grey Seals

Blissfully happy and filthy  xx

The young males have started battling already

New born, still wet x

Fast asleep, bubbling under the water

Our annual pilgrimage to Donna Nook certainly didn't disappoint this year with plenty of new pups and a couple of births right infront of us. One of them was quite traumatic when other seals got far too close to the new born, a massive scrap erupted ontop of the pup. It was quite upsetting and we had to walk away but pleased to say that the battle noise faded and the scrap was over and hopefully the pup survived. Not too huge crowds as it was mid week and the rain held off, just !  A lovely day xx
