Hamish, the baby polar bear - Highland Wildlife Park
He looked so naughty, a real handful for his mum (as young toddlers are!) but she was so attentive and caring and looked so proud of him. We spent hours here watching him. The crowds were huge when we arrived but they soon diminished and left just a few keen watchers. The education officer from the zoo was at the viewing area also with us. He thoroughly enjoyed telling us all about the bears and everyone had questions, a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic chap. Could have stayed all day !

Hamish the Polar Bear, Highland Wildlife Park
We added an extra day onto our weeks trip and stayed in Newtontown, near to the Highland Wildlife Park. Our wish was to see Hamish, the baby polar bear born last December. He is the first polar bear that has been born in the UK for 25 years, so a massive success story for the wildlife park. He was full of it and kept us all amused for hours. Swimming with his mum, Victoria. Then out the water for a run about and roll, jumping on his mum, biting her and then back in the water. He was non stop fun! Hope you like our pics, he was soooo sweet xx
