Mandarin and Wood Duck
Leucistic Mandarin, a stunning looking bird. Not so good in the glaring sun though and it soon made a bid for the opposite bank, getting out and sitting in long grass !

Drove home the scenic way after seeing the Pintail. Another village duck pond gave us a couple of Mandarin and Wood Ducks. The colours are just fantastic, paint box good. Someone must be missing a few ducks from their collection !

Brambling Extravaganza !
Difficult to count but we reckoned a good 300 in a flock of well over a 1000 finches. A brambling extravaganza but almost impossible to get close and then we had the sun to contend with.
Never happy !
