What a fabulous day! The pager bleeped at 8.30am and by 9am we had eaten breakfast, done a pack-up and were out the door heading to Ryhope in County Durham for the scops owl. What excellent views we had and with a surprisingly small crowd, it was easy to get good views of the owl. We stayed for 3 hours and the owl stretched and scratched a couple of times and then snoozed and snoozed, looking quite happy and content.
