Spoonbills, RSPB Blacktoft Sands

Love a few hours at Blacktoft, usually something to see and always a nice crowd to chat to in the hides. Half of the reserve is now bone dry but that will sort itself out with the next high tides in September.

Spotted Redshank, RSPB Blacktoft Sands

A couple of hours at Blacktoft which is very near to home, and a single spotted redshank was infront of Marshland Hide. It spent most of the time fast asleep so it was a welcome fly over of a marsh harrier that woke everything up !
