What an absolutely fantastic day at RAF Coningsby on Friday. We had been planning to return before the end of this year's flying so when we saw that the Typhoon as well as the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight were displaying, off we went. There was non-stop flying all day starting with the Typhoon followed by the Lancaster which flew in and out all day, changing crew each time, finishing with a display with the Spitfire. Add on constant Typhoons coming and going and a Tornado. It was a fabulous day, infact probably the best we have ever had at Coningsby.
