Bewick Swans and Brent Geese

120 Whooper Swans and 2 Bewicks in zero degrees with a breath taking wind chill. We saw them and didn't linger but did see 50 pintails and 5 ruff also, a few more ticks on our year list.

and a field of Brent Geese from the previous day.

Bewick Swans, Adlingfleet, Yorkshire

Lucky to see the 2 Bewick's Swans this morning, along with 9 Whooper Swans in a field near Adlingfleet on the Lincs / Yorkshire border (but in Yorkshire!). With biting, freezing wind nearly cutting us in two, we didn't hang around too long. One Bewick was wearing 2 rings, silver and yellow number 702.
