Russian White-fronted Geese, Alkborough Flats

They were a field away from the path and we could just make them out as we walked down but the local farmer was driving about (as he always does) and flushed them all. Lucky that these few flew over our heads, the rest heading out to the river.

6 Pintails from the hide but so far away

and a toad swam past !

Spurn

 Plenty of toads around

Just one wheatear was on Canal Scrape

White Wagtail above and Pied Wagtail below

Lots of Goldcrests around while we waited for the Siberian Chiffchaff to appear. No photos of the chiffchaff as it was a very fleeting glimpse.
A lovely day at Spurn with temperatures reaching a staggering 15 degrees. Had a good laugh in excellent company.
