Black-browed Albatross, Bempton Cliffs

A couple of passing gannets giving it the eye !

One of those days when we wished we had gone the day before !  We got there around lunchtime and stayed until 5pm. In this time, the albatross sat on this  distant cliff face and never moved. It did stand at one time and turn round and then sat back down again. But, see it we did !

Albatross

What absolutely stunning birds, massive and just glided along with the ship.
One of the many highlights.

Albatross

This just gives you some idea of the amount of birds that were on the water

We saw 1000's of Albatros, they were mainly Black-browed but as we neared and rounded the Cape a few Royal, Shy and Wandering flew in the wake of the ship.
