LEOPARD, Kruger Park

It was a two leopard morning on this beautiful day. Driving along, always slowly, looking and hoping when this stunning leopard appeared from the grasses. Crossing the road and walking parallel with us before crossing the road again. It was one of life's moments that we will never forget xx

Sleeping Leopard, Kruger

What a fantastic find......a snoozing leopard in a tree. Everyone's dream photo but afraid this one had his head well and truly hidden in the tree - fast asleep !

Wowsers !  But we did see more........

Leopard, Kruger Park, South Africa

We didn't see a leopard on this trip until about day 4, we seemed to miss them by a minute or two, the crowd always telling us that it had walked away. Leopards do that, always walking unless they are fast asleep in a tree. We did see a dead one on day 2, that one had apparently been fighting the previous evening and it had sucumbed to it's injuries during the night. A very sad sight to see let me tell you. This female was always walking away, about 100 yards away, stopping to scent mark that log and away she went. But what a sight eh ? But we did see more.........!!

Leopard, Lower Sabie, Kruger

We had driven past this tree every day then we spotted a kill in it, put there by a leopard. The kill disappeared and then on our last night at Lower Sabie we drove past the tree again on our way back to the camp and bingo ! Just look what was sat in the top of the tree.......

Our 10th leopard of the trip !

Leopard, Skukuza, Kruger Park

Oh my dear Lord above !  On our way back to our camp for the night and saw the cars infront brake so alerted that they had seen something good, and it didn't come much better than this that's for sure. A male leopard came up the bank, through the scrub and crossed the road right infront of us. He stopped to spray, marking his territory, and off he strolled ready for the night's hunting.  Ten minutes of leopard that will never be forgotten.

Yes that's me in the mirror. This was definately right place, right time !

He really was massive, great big head, thick neck, such power.

Marking his territory

He was beautiful.
