Out and about last week

A lovely walk in the long awaited sun this morning. Grey wagtail and the Red Arrows !

Brown Hare

We have a new local site with Willow Tits !

Kestrel enjoying the blue skies

Stonechats

Good to see that our local hooded crow is still around. Always distant and sometimes near impossible to find, but with a bit of patience and lots of time, we can usually locate it.

Hooded Crow

Far more satisfaction in us walking mile after mile every day and seeing nothing, than milling with the crowds at a short eared owl or waxwing !  Sooner or later you will find a good bird that lifts your spirits and keeps you going until the next one.

Self found Hooded Crow and Ravens in North Lincs !

Simon found this hooded crow just before Christmas and despite regular walks in this area, it wasn't re-found until Friday. Never close and certainly never settled, this is the closest we could get. Far better to find your own birds than stand with the crowds at waxwings !

And in the same area, a pair of ravens drifted over us yesterday. We see one regularly here but now there are two !
