Waited until Monday to go to Spurn for the day, less people ! Started the day off with the Red-backed Shrike, then onto Kilnsea churchyard where the Arctic Warbler was showing and our views were simply stunning. It actually stopped flitting about and sat out for a good 10 seconds! Plenty of yellow-browed on the day list also.

Arctic Warbler, Donna Nook
A last minute decision in the afternoon to go to Donna Nook for the arctic warbler and we were certainly not disappointed. We were only there a few minutes when word went out that a raddes warbler was also showing down on the beach. So, Simon got a few shots of the arctic and off we headed. We were quickly loosing the light and the wind had got up but we stook it out with the ever increasing crowd and were lucky to get good (although brief) views of it. A yellow-browed warbler near the car park was a bonus. A cracking afternoon.

Arctic Warbler
Arctic Warbler at Flamborough Head, Yorks. A first for us two. What a little cracker of a bird! I can't begin to tell you how mobile it was ! Then headed sea watching, porpoise being the order of the day. Good company and laughs all round ! An excellent day.
