A few more from the garden

The greenhouse is stuffed to the gills, everything is growing and looking good !

The cold frame is also packed out !

Happy Easter xx

Snakes-head Fritillary. We planted lots but afraid not all came up.

Onions ! We haven't quite finished last years yet !

and no picture of our garden is complete without little Pixi cat. There is nothing she loves more than snoozing out in the garden when we are out. Here she is, fast on in a sieve !

Adders !

Not a bad morning out, love to see the adders and we have are lucky we have them not too far from home. Was surprised to see them to be honest as the sun had gone in and it was very cloudy but they were out warming up. Disappointed to see so many dogs off leads despite numerous warning signs. Will have to go back on a sunny morning before they disperse.

Some stunning planters this spring

We try to grow unusual daffodils and this year Simon has excelled himself with some stunners. Lots of doubles and frills and some unusual colours. They look spectacular.

We grow all our spuds in buckets and this year there are 20 buckets all planted and sprouting already. Can't beat home grown spuds, they are the best taste ever !

Rudston Monolith

The Rudston Monolith stands in the grounds of the All Saints Church, a grade I church in the village of Rudston in the East Riding of Yorkshire.  It is the tallest megalith (standing stone) in the UK and is constructed of gritstone. It dates from the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age making it possibly 4000 years old believed to be placed there in the year 2000 BC.
