Rudston Monolith

The Rudston Monolith stands in the grounds of the All Saints Church, a grade I church in the village of Rudston in the East Riding of Yorkshire.  It is the tallest megalith (standing stone) in the UK and is constructed of gritstone. It dates from the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age making it possibly 4000 years old believed to be placed there in the year 2000 BC.
