We found these on two seperate occasions during our week but both sightings were in the same area. A definate pair. This is the male as the previous day we had seen the female with her 5 chicks. Her face was unmistakable as it was covered in blood from a recent meal.

This was Simon's bird of the trip and we were thrilled to have seen it. Had to walk over 3 fields in 3ft of snow to get anywhere near and even so, these shots are still quite distant. Our last bird in Sweden.....what a bird to finish on!
