A few garden birds

Great-spotted woodpecker

Mistle Thrush

Red-legged Partridge

Siskin

We had some good birds visit our feeders during the week but the highlight had to be the early morning sound of a very close capercaillie. It called for two mornings at 6am but try as we did, we could not locate it.

Jay, Green Woodpecker and bits.....

Made the most of the tea-time sunshine with a trip to see the local osprey. Pics very distant ! Then on to another one of our favourite birding sites where we had a family of jays and green woodpeckers which showed very well. Home for a mega Chinese for Tom's 23rd birthday xx

Jay

6 jays here this evening but always distant and flying away! This one seems to be in a heavy moult.
