Ancient Wood Bluebells

A card from a camera that gets used once in a blue moon gave us a few snaps that had escaped us. Here are a few from our local woods when the bluebells were at their best. Been in the camera quite a while !

A purple carpet !

The wild garlic smelled gorgeous

and a covering of wood anemones

Our local bluebell wood looking spectacular

A beautiful display of bluebells this year and the top of the woods is a carpet of wild garlic. It looks (and smells!) spectacular xx

Brumby Woods

A few bluebells still in flower. Think we should have been a week earlier to see these in all their glory.
Not to worry, the woods are just at the end of our road. We are so lucky !

The wild garlic has been sensational this year, the sight and the smell of it as you walk through the woods is overpowering. Beautiful xx

And we found a huge clump of yellow archangel

Brumby Woods looking spectacular with bluebells and wild garlic

Yellow Archangel

Our local woods are looking spectacular, the floor is totally covered in bluebells and flowering wild garlic and it looks sensational !  We are so lucky to have this gem right on our doorstep, infact it was managed by Simon before he retired.
