A pair of crested tits in the forest at Mettlenalp. We had headed along this treacherous, steep, downhill mountain path hoping to see Lady's Slipper Orchids which we failed miserably with. Once a definate meadow and banking where the orchids could be found. This year just a couple of withered up spikes remained. But we made the most of the strenuous walk with a half hour sit down for coffee where we had redstart and these crested tits, and a million orchids and flowers.
