A few bits from this weekend, good and bad

We have a few daffodils now in flower that look stunning. These are Christmas flowering 'Paper White' and they look fantastic. Will definately buy more for next year.

Roe Deer watching us before it turned on it's heels and scarpered up the hill

The last of the Earth Stars, they have just about finished now but will certainly look for them next year

Fieldfare in the lovely autumn sun

WHY ??

Messingham Nature Reserve, our local reserve managed by the Lincs Trust. I don't like to constantly moan but is there really any need to cut and strim to this extent on a nature reserve. The paths are wider than our road ! Never seen this amount of grass cutting and habitat destruction on any other reserve. They have now started strimming into the woods, making the paths even wider. It's absolutely ridiculous. All the fungi has been mown this year. It is more like an ornamental park than a nature reserve.

A stunning sunset that finished off with a hunting barn owl  x

Lovely colour in the garden

The last carrot harvest of the year. These are Chantenay and are safely tucked into the freezer for Christmas. They are so sweet and tasty x
