A birthday treat, some local good birds, Fly agaric and our first whoopers of the year arrived today

Stonechats

1000's of Pink-footed geese have arrived in the Humber

A marsh harrier terrifying the local shellducks

Reed Bunting

Barn Owl

Chiffchaff

Lots of Buzzards souring in the last days of summer

 Fly agaric

100's of bearded tits, but the breeze kept them in the reeds

We had a birthday in our house this week, any excuse for a big haddock !  Simon chose the Marrowbone and Cleaver in Kirmington, Guy Martin's pub. Good pub grub, excellent Spanner beer and very reasonably priced. Plates were cleared and more pints were supped. An excellent night out.
Happy birthday Simon xx

Today saw our first whooper swans arrive. Two on a local lake this morning.

A large flock of teal with this very odd cream coloured one. Certainly stands out.
