Red-backed Shrike, Spurn

Brilliant views - eventually!
Most of the day it remained elusive and flighty but when it showed it really showed !

Snipe

We had been to Spurn last week, not alot of birds around but our attention was drawn to this that was flying over the reedbed just past the gate. Karen did ask the owner if he was from the YWT and if he was doing a survey and did he have permission to fly the drone?  No, just a member of the public taking pics of the lighthouse and point via a drone flown from the old obs gate. Then all the way along the reedbeds........since when has this been allowed??? Not a single soul from the YWT around to stop him.
