Western Bonelli's Warbler, Easington

Well this was an unexpected bonus for the day. Just about to set off and walk the canal and round the triangle when my phone rang, it was John with news of the Bonelli's,  Knowing we don't have a radio it was good that he gave us the nod on this bird so we could hopefully see the bird and avoid the wacky races rush. We were soon stood in a field of stubble catching fleeting glimpses of this warbler as it fed and flitted through the sycamore tree, brilliant. It soon flew and appeared to come down around the terminal edge in the vireo area. We were quite happy with our views and the crowds had built up again with no social distancing, so we went off to Sammy's for the Wood Warbler. One of those magical days at Spurn, its been a while since we have had a day like today. Wonder what tomorrow will bring?!
