Brown Shrike, Johnny Brown's Common. West Yorkshire

Set off this morning to see the Red-tailed Shrike at Johnny Brown's Common in West Yorkshire. A stressful journey with our motorway exit closed for roadworks and a detour around Doncaster, obviously going wrong. On the way the bird was re-identified as a Brown Shrike so not the mega we were hoping for. Again, a wrong turn as we approached our destination and we drove around the housing estate that we always drive around when visiting this site. Stress levels rising !  But eventually we were parked, wellies on and off we went. A good crowd with masses of social distancing, no worries there. The bird showed the whole time we were there along the hedge line.
