Cobra Warrior 2019, RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire

Another visit to RAF Waddington to see this years Cobra Warrior exercise.  The crowds were not as big today which made for easier parking and viewing. We have met some lovely folk these last couple of weeks from all over.....Holland, Malta, Germany and from every corner of the UK. All come to see the Israeli F15's. Both the German and Italian Air Force flew Typhoons. It's been a brilliant couple of weeks, bet we can't resist another one last visit next week !

With the weather forecast excellent for Friday, we headed over but soon realised that the wind had changed and all the action was at the opposite end of the runway. Quickly gathering info from a chatty local, we were soon parked up and sat at the bottom fence. We had missed take off but with 15 planes out we knew we were in for some spectacular landings. The Israeli Air Force were also based straight infront of us which was an absolute bonus. Both the Israeli and our own Military Police came round the crowd, chatting and laughing, very friendly chaps but I suppose checking everyone out !

Lots of pics to show you, hope you like them.

A couple of Israeli pilots walking back into their base. The carry a bag with them that contains a life raft, just incase as they re-fuel over the sea each flight.

Lovely to get a 'thumbs up' from an Israeli pilot
