Chambers Farm Wood, Lincs

Skipper on a common spotted orchid

Lots of skippers

Ragged Robin in the meadows looked spectacular

A few Marsh Fritillaries still flying

Black Hairstreak, just a few in the old picnic site area

and masses of bees coming down to drink in the small pond in the butterfly garden

Not really the brilliant day we were hoping for despite perfect weather, Not a lot of butterflies flying and plagued by horseflies. We did walk to the meadow, some lovely orchids on the way but very little flying in there now. Half a dozen black hairstreaks made the day.
