Our garden and other bits from last week

A lovely walk along the top path from Alkborough to Whitton

A lovely sunset at Barton while we waited for the starling murmuration

Blackthorn

Pussy Willow

We have a peat free garden. Simon makes all our compost, just look at that tray full !  We have quite a few composters where all garden and kitchen waste goes along with cardboard and anything else that will compost. When it is broken down abit then it goes into the wormeries, we have many ! It makes fantastic compost, it's good for the environment and it's totally free !

'Compost Corner'  This is one of the stacks of wormeries with some rotted down ready to go in. All free of charge and totally peat free, and grows fantastic plants and veg.

Just look at this, the finished product !

The planters at the front of the house are looking stunning and we have plenty more bulbs to come.

Our first wild primroses of the year

Lots of siskins feeding yesterday

Snow Bunting on the wall at Far Ings, Barton

A carpet of snowdrops, looks lovely x

Our steelworks in Scunthorpe.

Lots of character and faces to be seen in this tree !

Our garden tubs and planters are just starting blooming but lots more bulbs still to appear, they just need a bit of sun !

This is the very start of the composting procedure

and we have literally thousands of happy worms turning it all into fine crumbly compost
