Indian Airforce Mirage 2000
F18's photobombed by a Mirage 2000 !
A few from us on the first day of the Cobra Warrior exercise at RAF Waddington in Lincs. A fantastic mornings viewing, but in bitterly cold weather. Good job we had our best thermals on ! We got there just after 8am to see that the best spots along the hedgeline were taken, infact the whole of the fenceline was covered in ladders, ladders and more ladders ! and 100's and 100's of plane enthusiasts. Easily got parked in the overspilll and we made our way to the best spot left. A grey, overcast day with the odd spot of rain. Not too good for photography but we did our very best and hope you line our pics. The Indian, Belgian and Finnish Airforce were based at Waddington and the Saudi Arabia were at Conningsby. The Indians were in Mirage 2000's, a new plane tick for us. There were spotters from all over the country there for the day but we are so lucky we can go every day for the 3 week duration. Yes, we are back on Wednesday but with an earlier start. Fingers crossed for a better spot at the fence !
