This week - the good, the bad and the beautiful !

Whitethroat

Short-tailed Field Vole

A very distant Stilt Sandpiper at Alkborough. We saw this on it's 2nd day, the day before the hottest day ever. It was 35 degrees of climate change heat in a very busy hide so we saw it and beat a hasty retreat.

Our local Sparrowhawks have successfully reared 2 chicks this year.

Red-crested Pochard

Pixi in a couple of boxes in the garden.
She loves watching us garden and will get into any box or tub. Cats are funny xx

Now just look at this pair of camera idiots. Walked all the way through the reeds to get closer to the birds on the mud......flushing every single one. Priceless 😡

Some beautiful cut flowers from the garden. Simon grows some lovely flowers for me xx

Some flowers from our garden. It looks stunning this year if I say so myself !

Tom's chillis that have now doubled in size since the heatwave and now all have chillis on.

This is a 'dinner plate' dahlia, and they are going to be stunners. Will post another pic when they have opened up.

Our council, North Lincolnshire, have flailed all the hedges around the local sports field. This is what we saw on our evening walk. We can't prove where the nest came from or who put it there but this just sums up people's total disregard for nature. It was a nest from this year. Makes me want to weep.

And our beautiful Araya. She is simply beautiful xxxx
