Lots of recent bits and bobs

You just cannot beat fresh spuds.....
boiled with fresh mint and covered in butter and pepper, absolutely delicious !

Roe Deer

Pixi is never far from us when we are in the garden. Here the pea pods are being chopped up for composting,  nothing is ever wasted. Pixi is keeping here eye on things !

A lovely pink flower - Common Centaury

Pied Wagtail

Lunch.....spuds and peas out the garden just half an hour ago, with butter and pepper. Better than a Michelin Star meal !

The pea harvest from this morning.....picked, boiled, bagged and frozen within half an hour. We have a harvest now most days.

Local orchids in the grass looking splendid.

Simon grew this from an acorn and he has planted it into his wood in memory of Steve, a druid friend that sadly passed away last year. Lets hope it lasts 100's of years.

How's your family Mr Magpie x

Dwarf beans, sunflowers and sweetcorn in one of our bottom beds.

We have some lovely planters this year

this one at the front of the house looks spectacular

Four-spotted Chaser

Our dahlias are just flowering and make perfect cut flowers. Lots of different coloured ones now in bud.
