A few new spuds dug up this morning, they really are delicious with butter, salt and pepper
Horkstow Bridge over the New River Ancholme. Designed by Sir John Rennie in 1836 as part of the River Ancholme Drainage Scheme, it is a Grade II* listed building. Disappointed to see that it is now in a state of disrepair with some of the metal rails broken off and the wooden flooring badly patched and repaired. Lots of graffiti and I did report the litter and party remains that had been left underneath it. This is one of the very first suspension bridges and it doesn't even get a plaque.
There was a nature reserve next to it that was opened whilst I was at work. I remember a work colleague spending thousands of pounds on a boardwalk and benches. Every bit of wood was stolen within a week, the reserve gates closed and that was that !
Our garden (just a small bit of it !)
We have cut flowers in the house all summer, freshly picked from our garden. A lovely splash of colour !
Harebells
Beans !! Runner beans and french beans. A fresh harvest every day and straight in the freezer.
and our lovely Araya. She is growing and is now laughing and gurgling away, she is such a happy baby. Love her to bits !
