Our garden looking good

Nothing in the world beats freshly dug new spuds, boiled with mint and served with proper butter. Absolutely delicious !

Lots of peas on this year. Looking forward to the harvest in a few weeks time.
Better get a shelf cleared in the freezer ready.

Passionflower looking gorgeous along the back fence.

I treated us to one of the outdoor orchids that Morrisons sell in their garden centre. They only get one delivery a year and it is always in the first week of June. So, down to Morrisons I trotted every day until I spotted them. They had 5 in total, all different, and this was the best one.  Lets see how it goes but at a staggering cost of £10, it had better survive !

We have had a fantastic onion harvest this year with plenty now laid down in storeage. We leave them outside to dry for a few days and any that look a bit suspect are eaten, the rest stored. The garlic this year has been the best Simon has ever grown. Some massive red cloves, all organic and far better than shop bought and with a zero carbon footprint.

Prizewinners !

Garlic drying

The first cut flowers of the year. Just love dahlias, stunning colours and here with a few white roses. Looks lovely x

The sweetcorn is finally coming along.....for some reason Pixi cat took a liking to it and bit off  (but didn't eat) all the new growth. From this pic being taken, it has now tripled in size, far too big for Pixi to bother with it now.
