Yellow-browed Warbler, Sammy's Point, Spurn

A few hours at Sammy's Point this morning to hopefully catch a glimpse of the yellow-browed warbler. We saw the bird many times as it flew around the bushes and it eventually showed itself right infront of us, bingo!  We observed the social distancing guidelines, as we always do. But with crowds of up to 12 birders all congregating together, it was hard to believe that we are in the midst of a returning pandemic. The police did drive round, park and watch the birding crowds. A good supporting cast included redstart, wheatears, stonechats and whinchats. A grand day out, now home to see Lucy's new puppy and watch the tour de France.
