Slaynes Lane, Notts

A lovely few hours spent at Slaynes Lane in Notts. An area that was extensively flooded in winter and has, surprising remained under water. Excellent for birds. Here we saw 4 curlew sandpipers, dunlin, great white egret, a little stint and a very distant little owl. Some nice folk to talk to and a delicious flask of milky coffee to keep us going, an excellent morning out x
