A fantastic afternoon in Singleton Hide at RSPB Blacktoft Sands. Lots of marsh harriers but the star attractions were the 3 hen harriers (including an adult male) that came into roost. The male came in at dusk so afraid no photos but it was just lovely to sit and admire the beauty of the bird as it glided past and straight into the reeds to roost. 3 whooper swans flew in and these were soon chased off by the mutes. A brilliant, but chilly afternoon.
