We have stayed in this lodge before and saw many pine martens last time. The numbers visiting seem to have gone down this year and on the previous trip, they seemed to have set times when they called. This year seemed to be the total opposite. This female visited most, often making two or three calls a day. Suet pellets and grapes were put out for the day feeds and in the evening, peanut butter and suet pellets, which she loved. She never touched jam or peanuts. We thought that she must have kits nearby judging by the amount and the speed that she ate. She could clear the table in 10 minutes ! Never tired of watching the pine martens, such characters x
