With the sun beating down on the hottest day in September ever at 30 degrees, we waited until late afternoon before venturing out. We expected this glossy ibis to be miles away but when we stepped above the bank, there it was right infront of us. Photography was not easy with a constant battle with the sun, but Karen wasn't complaining as she topped her tan up !
