Piste de Linarejos, Sierra de la Culebra

This was to be our main wolf watching site for the week. The area was simply vast and it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. There was one pack of 7 wolves out there somewhere but wolves sleep all day and only move about at dawn and dusk - yes, the coldest parts of the day! When we saw our pack of 7, they had just emerged from over the far hill. They then disappeared until we picked then up again heading into the trees to sleep for the day. Many eyes and many telescopes are a must if you want to be successful.
