Well, starting from last Friday, we had the Bufflehead at Covenham followed by a Red Rumped Swallow and a Ring Ouzle on Saturday at Barton. A trip to Spurn that morning also brought a Ring Ouzle, Redstart and a huge fall of Wheatears. Monday saw the Pied Flycatcher at Messingham and then Tuesday we went to Flamborough for the Atlas Flycatcher. A fantastic birding week. Then, wallop. Through the letter box on Wednesday comes my very first speeding fine. I have been driving for well over 30 years and this is my first. Caught out last Sunday morning nipping to Matalan!
