Atlas Flycatcher......which is a Pied Flycatcher!

Flamborough, Yorks. Couldn't resist a trip up to South Landing, Flamborough Head to see this stunning bird. Possibly a first for the UK, it showed very well across the other side of the ravine. It was all go that night as someone had driven their car off the edge of North Landing and a full air / sea rescue was taking place.
Feathers were removed when the bird was caught for ringing and sent off for DNA testing. The results are now back and came on the pager today..............pied flycatcher! Oh well, it was a good tick while it lasted!
