Some lovely fungi, Christmas and phone download

I must have been a really good girl last year as just look what Father Christmas brought me ! The perfect present from our son, Tom and the best pressie ever ! Thank you xx

This pic certainly does not do this meal justice. Christmas dinner, and it was absolutely delicious. Every year, cooked by Simon who makes the best home made stuffing ever, turkey, bacon curlers, mash, roasts, carrots, cauli, parsnip and the dreaded sprouts !  DELICIOUS !! Smothered in thick gravy and a bottle of Malbec to slurp on xx

No Christmas is complete without the games coming out. This was my game of Frustration when I was a young lass, I am now pushing 66 so it must be 58 years old !  And still works (just), although Tom is green and still awaiting the necessary 6 to start !

Hazel flowers just starting to show, spring must be just around the corner

Thank goodness for this beauty !  We used to have an open fire but as you know with a fire, most of your heat goes straight up the chimney so we decided this year to have a stove put in the lounge and it's the best thing we have ever bought. Easy to clean and light, doesn't fill your house with soot as the open fire did and the heat it gives out is staggering. It is now January and our heating has not been switched on at all this winter. The stove just about heats all our downstairs as we are open plan. My gas bill is the lowest it has ever been, its brilliant !  It is baltic when we go to bed though !

Can only see one sprig of mistletoe left at Messingham

Herb Bennett. Time to sort out the pots ready for this year.

Gorse adding a bit of colour to the landscape

Some lovely fungi already sprouting up

A lovely crisp winter walk in the fog and frost. Very atmospheric, loved it !

Our local Scarlet Elf Cups are just popping up. Give them a couple of weeks and they will be out in all their glory, looking beautiful.

Lincs Coast, beautiful and desolate.
