Honey Buzzard, Welbeck

Through the telescope we could see it was carrying something

An excellent couple of hours at Welbeck before the heavens opened. We don't stand at the viewpoint as it is always packed and parking isn't brilliant. There were 25 folk there on the day we were there and there is limited viewing through the hedge so we give the viewpoint a miss. There were just 4 of us here. We had just one sighting and when I say it was miles away.....I do mean miles !  But a definate honey buzzard with good views through the scope. Brilliant !
