Crossbills, Messingham Nature Reserve

We are so lucky to be able to see crossbills on most of our daily walks. But they are usually a chipping flyover or at the very tops of the trees. We fell lucky today, hearing the cones fall to the floor, we sat and waited and they soon made their way out into the sun to eat the cones, loads of them. We are pleased with our pics, hope you have enjoyed looking at them.
