and a stoat !

but even Bempton isn't free from the idiots that now visit the countryside. A Saturday night party here on the cliff tops where the scum left every bit of rubbish and their tent aswell.

Our annual trip to Bempton Cliffs. The sky was blue and the sea fret that had lingered last week had finally cleared. Only the main car park was open to try and keep the visitor numbers down, which it did. But the visitors there today had no concept of social distancing and when a puffin was pointed out to them, 2 metres became 2 inches. Not good at all so we found our own birds away from the crowds and didn't stay long. A good one way system was in operation which worked perfectly well but social spacing on the platforms was non-existent. Good views of puffins, the star birds, a hunting peregrine swooping through the birds at sea and a stoat running up the grass bank were the highlights of an excellent few hours.
