This week

Avocets and Spotted Redshank

Cowslip

Marsh Marigold

Mistletoe

Chiffchaffs

Wheatear

Plum blossom

Lesser Black-backed Gulls (graellsii)

And then we see the constant disturbance at Alkborough Flats. This sheep farmer constantly checks his flock, driving along the floodbank and then straight across the foreshore, flushing every single bird all day, every day. Not only is the whole site turned over to sheep farming, they have claimed the foreshore aswell. No where else in the world do you see sheep checked on as many times as these at Alkborough Flats.
