Whisby Nightingale

After hearing 1000's of nightingales last week in Bulgaria, a visit to Whisby brought us back down to earth with a bump. The numbers returning have plumeted this year and although the sightings board said 4 were present, there was just one male singing. Lovely to hear but so sad that we are, in the not too distant future,  going to loose these lovely birds from yet another site.  It was good to see notices had been put up informing the public of the importance of protecting our nightingales and every dog walker we saw did have their dogs on leads.
As you can see the pictures have been lightened considerably !
