The Selim Caravanserai. Situated on the Selim Mountain Pass along the route of the Silk Road, was built in 1332 and remains to this day. It was good to be able to walk inside it and image the traders of old trecking across the world with their wares. Just think how many thousands had eaten, sheltered and slept within these walls. A piece of history and one of the highlights of the trip.
There was a lady outside selling huge bottles of homemade vodka. Just image if we had bought some....we could still be there !!
