A trip to Alkborough yesterday evening and struck lucky with 13 spoonbills infront of the birdhide. Light as usual was dire and the reeds infront of the hide were as tall as the spoonbills, the edge of the water now totally obscurred. It's quite annoying when a birdhide is provided yet the view is never managed for birdwatching.
