What a surprise this was ! Just got ready to go to the cinema on 'Orange' Wednesday to see the Hobbit film and the pager bleeps the house down and it was local ! But, the bird had flown so we hung around knowing that the local birders would be scouring and they turned up trumps, thank you ! A UK first for us and we were lucky that the bustard flew a short distance so we were able to see those beautiful wings. A fabulous bird to end the year on.
